Drones and related programs and platforms for various industries Smart farm drone station improves agricultural efficiency SDR is a first-generation drone company that pioneered industrial drones by developing and distributing pesticide spraying drones, and provides drones and related programs and platforms that can be applied to various industries by customizing them according to the purpose and environment. SDR’s Smart Farm Drone Station can serve as an important tool to improve productivity and efficiently utilize resources in agricultural fields, and pest control drones in particular can leverage GPS technology and autonomous flight capabilities to perform tasks automatically. They can follow pre-programmed routes to spray fertilizers or pesticides, or remove harmful organisms, saving labor and improving work efficiency. Agricultural drones come with a wide range of capabilities, along with many safety features for safe operation. They can perform a variety of tasks, including crop monitoring, pesticide spraying, seed delivery, soil surveying, and more, helping farmers to perform multiple tasks with one drone, collecting and analyzing information such as crop growth data, soil conditions, crop damage, and more. This helps farmers manage their crops efficiently and make better decisions.
In addition, precision agriculture technology can be used to apply the exact amount of fertilizer or pesticides needed to crops, improving crop productivity while minimizing negative environmental impacts. High-resolution cameras and various sensors also can be used to detect and monitor crop health more precisely. Smart Farm Drone Station is an unmanned drone station with SDR’s self-developed autonomous technology. The drone station seeks the optimal installation site in relation to the effective radius, and can store drones and control constant temperature and humidity. It is also equipped with an automatic battery removal and charging slot system and a precision landing guidance system for drones by applying beacon sensors. The station is the largest in Korea and can accommodate drones weighing more than 40 kilograms. Utilizing this drone station, SDR was judged as ‘very good’ in the demonstration project of the Ministry of Science and ICT, and was selected as an excellent ICT company.
Multi Function System (MFS) capable of controlling multiple drones simultaneously Received the Minister of National Defense Award for achieving the highest score in the Ministry of National Defense Drone Bot Challenge SDR has developed a Multi Function System (MFS) to utilize these drones more effectively. SDR’s MFS is a control program that enables one operator to control multiple drones simultaneously and in real time using the self-made operating program, Sundoli Planner, rather than the unicast method of 1:1 transmission and reception, which is a disadvantage of the existing RC method. The technology, which has been registered as an excellent product of the Ministry of National Defense and has been judged suitable after military trials, enables individual or squadron flight control of multiple drones in a 1:N control method using a single communication network. In particular, it can simultaneously operate multiple and heterogeneous mission platforms such as EVTOLs and UGVs, and utilize FANET MESH to enable automatic collision avoidance through interoperation and connect various additional nodes. This allows one person to operate various unmanned vehicles through multiple simultaneous controls, enabling various unmanned transportation systems to be advanced. These MFSs can help users easily control drones using visualized information windows, and even provide a UI that can easily recognize objects through video. In addition, unlike centralized networks, the FANTET MESH applied here does not have a communication splitter, and each end device is equipped with a splitter function to continuously try to connect with peripheral devices to form a network. This means that each endpoint can act as a bridge and pass data to its neighbors, and even if there is an obstacle that prevents communication, the other endpoint can simply move to the middle and connect, and the entire network can communicate. With these strengths, SDR’s MFS was selected as a Defense Preferred Supplier by the Public Procurement Service, and on November 10, 2023, it won the highest score and the Secretary of Defense’s Award at the Drone Bot Challenge by locating three targets within 8 kilometers in 10 minutes, with multiple drones (swarming) flying separate missions.
Combined wired and wireless drones for relay and base defense, surveillance, and rescue Combining multiple mobility systems and MFSs for simultaneous missions against multiple targets SDR’s hybrid wired/wireless drone combines battery and electric power systems in one airframe. It flies for a long time while being powered by an electric line in normal times, and in case of emergency, it can be disconnected from the line and converted to wireless to carry out missions. It can operate at an altitude of up to 100 meters while wired, and when it switches to wireless, it can stay airborne for at least 25 minutes. It can be used for land, sea, and air base defense, as well as firefighting and rescue. By utilizing this with the aforementioned MFS, it can be used for current military, police, and firefighting operations, such as perimeter and search reconnaissance of key areas of the control system and anti-infiltration operations by controlling multiple drones simultaneously, and it can also be used for various missions such as communication relay, lighting activities, and base fishing with one drone. In addition, it is possible to conduct information collection activities by reconnaissance and surveillance over a large area, as well as simultaneous missions for multiple targets by combining with multiple mobile systems. In addition to these military and public drones, SDR offers a variety of products and services to utilize drones, including educational drones and their platforms for learning drone technology and programming, and a smart controller system that allows remote control of these drones indoors and outdoors. SDR said it plans to expand globally by exporting not only domestically but also overseas. 출처 : 신태섭 기자 tss79@naver.com | ||||||||||
